Michelle and Carl | Mercury Hall Wedding | Austin Texas

When I heard that Michelle and Carl were going to get married I knew it would be a fun and happy day… Well, that’s exactly why I love being a wedding photographer. Weddings are always fun and happy days. Michelle and Carl’s wedding was a little bit different for me though because Michelle and I have known each other for a few years now and I have met Carl several times too. Not only that though, but their Mercury Hall wedding included an awesome Elvis impersonator that Michelle hired for Carl. Long story short… as it turns out Carl is a huge Elvis fan and likes to sing Elvis songs around the house. So one night Michelle out at a party or some kind of function and there was this Elvis impersonator and she knew he had to surprise Carl at their reception. Elvis was a big hit! Oh yeah, Michelle was a very beautiful bride as well… Thanks Michelle and Carl, I’m so glad I got to do this for you!

Courtney and Damon | Spicewood Winery | Engagement Photos

Courtney… Wow. So this girl is just a ball full of energy and I can’t wait till I get to shoot their wedding! When Courtney and I first talked about what she wanted her engagement photos to look like she knew they had to be outside with nature which, after hanging out with them, fits both of them. They both have spent time in Hawaii and love the outdoors. Now Spicewood isn’t Hawaii, but Courtney grew up in the Texas hill country so Spicewood was like coming home for her. Damon loved listening her tell stories of her memories on the drive out to the winery. I think we all had a great time tromping around in the fields, jumping fences and checking out the grounds in general.
