I know that my posting has been very sparse lately. I have been doing all kinds of things in this VERY busy season though. We just installed a redundant 2tb RAID system to handle the insane number of files. I did a transfer today that took 9 hours. It had 379,463 files. That is just so far this year. Because I know that to many of you out there, there are at least 800 or so o f those files that are very dear to you, it is important to me to take as good as care of them as I possibly can. I feel great knowing that we are investing as much money in protecting these memories as we do anything else in our business. I just Love you guys!

I have also been working on some new post production techniques that I think will eventually be a differentiator for us as a studio. There is a new depth in some of these images that we are very excited about. Here are just a couple from some reent weddings that will be posted in their entirety very soon. Let me know what you think about them. Have a great week.

The day after their wedding, I met Kim and Fremont at their hotel suite at Hotel ZaZa. It was an amazing place. We spent some time shooting there in ZaZa and then we hit the streets of Downtown for some of those very fun and oh so juxtaposed images with the formal Bride and Groom in the most grungiest of settings you can find. It was not too difficult finding those places in Downtown Houston trust me. We had a great time and Kim and Fremont were totally up for whatever. Thanks you two for a great shoot and for adding to the portfolio of studio563. Here are a few of my favorites.

Here is a shot that I have always liked. It has totally been mastered by the oh so talented Jasmine*, but I dig this one as well.

and a little splash of color to end the post.

Thanks again guys for a great time and I wish the very best for you and your life journey together.

Okay I a going to try not to gush over these two too much, but Kim and Fremont are members of my church (the Bridge fellowship). I have known Fremont for a very long time and I had the privilege of meeting Kim about a year ago or so. Funny fact that we discovered not too long ago. My cousin who is from East Texas was married about 6 years ago and Kim was at the wedding. She and my cousins were really good friends and she nor I had a clue that we were at Eric and Angela’s big day way back when. Small world. Enough about all that. Kim and Fremont had such a cool day. Although it was freakin HOT, it was a beautiful day here in Houston. There ceremony was performed by one of our Pastors at the Bridge and even though I was there to work, it was kind of like going to church on Sunday. I had a great time with some many there that I knew as guests and being so at home with the bride and groom. I met them the next day for a Day After shoot which I will post next. Here are several of my favorites from the big day.

So Kim and Fremont wanted to see each other before the ceremony. I have to say that when couples decide to do this, it sure does ease any anxiety, nerves, or tension that is often present before the ceremony. When the time line works itself out it also helps with the time allotted for picture taking. Who knows. Maybe this will become the new tradition!

So my boy Fremont loves Avocados. Kim thought she would love on hims and they had an Avocado bar. You know like some fancy ways of making guacamole. You know I was in that line

Here are a few more details.

We took some time when the sun was low and went outside for some romantic “them” stuff. the light was unbelievable. Almost So Cal like.

the 563 team loves to play fun little games at our weddings. When we have a sparkler exit, we like to try and come up some creative 1″ exposure stuff after the Bride and Groom split. These always make for a pleasant surprise for the couple. Here is the Heart for Kim and Fremont.

Thanks again you two for letting me be a part of your big day.

So here is the long over due blog post for a very cool couple that celebrated a new beginning a little less than 4 weeks ago. Taylor and Eddie were so stoked to be there that day and it were completely into one another. Here are a few of my favorite images from their very special occasion.

so this was their reception taking place and had the humidity not been 200% and you could have seen the party, this shot would have been cool. Pocket Wizards are fun.

Thanks again guys for a great time and we wish you the very best.

Thanks again Sam and J-Don for letting us be a part of your special day. Here are just a few of my favorites from the event.

They had a photobooth that was a huge success at the reception. I thought this was a fun image of their time in the booth.

Gorgeous wedding! Becky and Kendall had another ceremony that was filled with emotion and love. I am starting to regain hope and faith in couples getting married these days. The family had a great time celebrating these two’s love for one another and just all in all a joy to be around. Again the fabulous
Lindsay was with me for the occasion and what a blast. Thanks again guys for letting us play a part of your very special day. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy

This shoot was so much fun! First I have to send a huge thanks to my buddy
Danny for letting me sample the “cocaine” on this shoot. He let me experience the
D3 and it was definitely bad for my health. What an amazing piece of gear! Caitlin and Greg brought out this old couch and we went to shoot in this crazy cool field. The light was B-E-A-UTIFUL! We got some amazing images and are thankful to Caitlin and Greg for letting us do this shoot for them. I know they will make awesome wedding clients someday.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Here is Ashley and Mike. These two had such a great day at Ashton Gardens. The ceremony was beautiful and the friends and family fantastic. My homegirl
Lindsay “Claire” shot with me and did a rockin great job. We had the most excellent privilege of working with the best videographers in Houston, Joey and his crew at
31 Films, as well. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Thanks again Ashley and Mike for everything.

So it has been a little while since my last post and today I am going to make up for that. This is one of four comin atchya. Ryan and Christie go to church with April and I at the Bridge fellowship in Sugar Land. These guys are so freakin cool. It was a great wedding with so much love and friendship and excitement in the ceremony. Kenny Dean, one of our teaching pastors, did a phenomenal job in the ceremony. It is so refreshing when the couple is obviously as excited about the truth and power that is happening in the ceremony as they are about the party that will happen later. Thank you guys for letting us be a part of such a special day. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
