Survivor Education Day is a celebration for all childhood cancer survivors. Some of you know…and many may not know that I am a cancer survivor myself. I was diagnosed with 2 brain tumors when I was 16 years old then again when I was 18. After surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments I was able to fight through it and win. I am well past my 10 year mark and considered cured. I was asked to tell my story at Survivor Education Day and how being a survivor has changed and shaped my life and what obstacles I have had to overcome after my treatment was done.
