Here is one of my latest engagement sessions with the super fun Amanda and Brady who are getting married in February. We toured around the beautiful Zilker Botanical Gardens then headed off to South Congress for a little urban fun.

I wish I shot down at Mercury Hall more. Such a perfectly Austin-y spot just south of downtown. The grounds are gorgeous with very old trees and a unique hall adorned with stained glass and warm old wood floors. Light pours in from each stained glass window and creates such a light mood inside during the day, and at night there is plenty of room for dancing. Heather and Mark’s wedding had such a warm welcoming feeling to it…I think a lot of that had to do with how warm and welcoming they are and it just spread to the rest of the wedding. I wish these two all the best as they start their marriage story.

Kelli and George. What can I say…you guys are a lot of fun to be around. I had such a good time shooting this wedding out at Vista West Ranch. You can’t go wrong with a beautiful venue and stunning bride. And kudos to Kelli for all of the effort she put into making this a unique event. At each of the tables she made “scrapbook vases”. Each Vase had a story about Kelli and George and things that make up their life together…from the past to their honeymoon. One tall vase had legos complete with a bride and groom lego…people. Another had letters that George had written to Kelli (very romantic), and another had tennis balls with the Eiffel Tower on top because they are going to Paris for their honeymoon and while there they were going to go see some of the French Open…So you get the idea…very very creative. Here are some of my faves from the day.

What a beautiful wedding. What a beautiful couple…and so much fun too. First of all, let me tell you that I love shooting at Laguna Gloria which is part of the Austin Museum of Art. When you are there it is like stepping into a 1930′s movie. So much class and elegance…the grounds are beautiful, the mansion is amazing, and the room the bride gets ready in…love it. It was so easy to photograph Shelby and Kai just because of how genuine and nice and well…awesome they were. If you were at this wedding you know how much fun the band was. I don’t think there was any time where the dance floor was empty. Then at the end of the evening Shelby and Kai exited to silver streamers (super fun idea btw) and drove off in style. It was a fitting end to a terrific evening. I wish you guys all the best.

Butterflies, carriage ride drawn by a beautiful white horse and all of this the day after the royal wedding…I’ll have to say that I thought this wedding was a little more stunning. The ceremony was part Persian and part Christian so there was a ton of symbolism in meaning in the ceremony. The ceremony was under the pavilion which overlooks the beautiful rolling Austin landscape and the reception was at the Governor’s Ballroom which is just up the hill from the pavilion. The bride and groom made their way from the ceremony to the reception in a horse drawn carriage that would have make Cinderella jealous. Special thanks to Lisa Hause for shooting with me and doing an amazing job as usual. Now onto the good stuff.
